Tune-up rebate not available on new equipment. Customer must not have an existing Preventative Maintenance Contract or Agreement
Homes must have CenterPoint Energy electric service to be eligible for this rebate.
Systems supplementing gas space heating with an air source, dual-fuel or geothermal heat pump are not eligible.
AC/Heat Pump Tune-Up rebate available once every 24 months per furnace.
Tune-Up must include the following:
- Ensure Thermostat working properly (Pre & Post)
- Check voltage and amps to all motors
- Verify refrigerant charge and add as needed
- Lubricate any moving parts
- Check belts, filters, wiring and connections
- Ensure condensate drain is open
- Ensure dampers are on cooling position
- Check overall performance and efficiency of system
*Installation must be completed between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024.
*The application must be submitted within 60 calendar days of installation to be eligible for a rebate.
