Get 40% of your project costs covered – up to $450 – when you upgrade your attic insulation.

There are a variety of eligibility guidelines specific to each rebate. Please review all program requirements (PDF) before purchasing equipment or applying for rebates.

Customers must choose a program-approved contractor (PDF) to qualify for these rebates. Insulation improvements are not eligible for rebates when installed in new construction.

Eligibility

Open attic: Existing insulation must be R-11 or below. Installed insulation must be R-38 or above.
Enclosed attic/ceiling cavities: Existing insulation must be R-5 or below. Installed insulation must be R-13 or above.
Homes which use both gas and electric fuels for heating are not eligible unless they have CenterPoint service for both gas and electric.
Work must be completed by a program-approved contractor (PDF). All materials and work must be in compliance with local codes and performed per program standards.
Attic must be inspected prior to insulating to ensure proper air sealing. Rebates cannot be provided if the attic is not air sealed.
Installation must be completed between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025.
The application must be submitted within 60 calendar days of installation to be eligible for a rebate.
